About CostDepth
Alex Wu builds and maintains CostDepth: the fee checks against each exchange's own page, the order-book sampler and the method behind every number.
CostDepth exists because fee tables leave out what a market order really pays. At large sizes, or on thin order books, the spread and the walk through the book can cost more than the fee itself, and they change by exchange, size and hour.
The site shows data, not advice. Sign-up buttons are referral links: CostDepth may earn a commission, and the code also lowers your fee by the stated percentage. Rankings come from the numbers, never from the referral.
